Questions

Before you book.

What is hijama?

Hijama is wet cupping. Cups are placed on the skin to create suction, then small, shallow cuts are made and the cups are placed again to draw a little blood. Many Muslims have hijama as a Sunnah practice. We also offer dry cupping, which uses suction only.

What is the difference between hijama and dry cupping?

Dry cupping uses suction alone and leaves the skin unbroken. Hijama, or wet cupping, adds small, shallow cuts so a little blood is drawn into the cups. We offer both; ask which suits you when you book.

Is hijama Sunnah?

Yes. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged hijama, and it is narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari: "Indeed, the best of remedies you have is cupping."

Where are you based?

Our private treatment room is in Narre Warren South, VIC 3805, in Melbourne’s south-east. We also offer mobile hijama at your home for a $50 visit fee.

How much does hijama cost?

7 cups is $70, 10 cups is $90 and a 16 cup full body session is $110. If you would like the session at your home, the mobile fee is $50.

Do you come to me?

Yes. Sessions are available at our room in Narre Warren South or at your home. Call or message to check your suburb and book a time.

Is it hygienic?

Equipment is sterilised, and needles and supplies are single use. Sessions are private and by appointment only.

What treatments do you offer besides hijama?

Consultation, massage cupping, dry cupping and relaxation massage. Ask about these when you book.

How do I book?
